Physical Requirements

Possibility of Growth

We are looking for someone looking to grow with the company that is interested in becoming a designer. As the company expands and becomes larger, more responsibility will be given to the right candidate, should they show promise. Someone who already has experience upon application will be given more responsibility of designing florals for weddings. Should someone with less experience be the right fit for the company, they will need to start from the ground up and earn their trust in the business before training on design takes place.

Things to Know

This is a part time, seasonal job, meaning that work is available when there are weddings scheduled. Typically this can vary from May until October/November, but schedule will vary.

Schedule is known from 6 months 1 year in advance, and so it’s relatively easy to plan around. With weddings being usually on Fridays or Saturdays, work is required 1 week prior to each wedding.

Preference will be given to those with schedules that are able to accommodate the week prior to weddings scheduled, as well as those with experience.

Person applying must have their drivers license and their own vehicle to get to and from work.

Job Location: currently our studio is at our farm/residence in Scotland, Ontario. This will likely change in the future.

Disclaimer:

Sometimes the job does require travel. At this point this is not part of the job description as I have that covered for this year, however it is likely something that will come up in the coming years as part of regular duties to assist with travel.

Must be comfortable around animals. As our current location is based on our homestead. Photo opportunities with cows are possible :)
